Eight lovely certificates wing their way towards me across a beautiful Alpine scene. See how freely they fly in my direction – fences cannot contain them – they know exactly where they’re going, and so do I.
Nothing can tie us to the earth while we have the imagination to set us free. So close your eyes and imagine… what sort of certificate do you aspire to? What colour is it? Faded parchment or copy paper as sterile as sliced white bread? What are the words written painstakingly by an ancient scribe with a swan’s quill dipped in bat’s blood? Is your certificate illuminated with strange magickal glyphs, medieval figures, dragons, fairies or aliens?
